Tahiti Travel Guide

Tahiti or French Polynesia is in the South Pacific; Tahiti is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and is located about 9 hours flight from Los Angeles. The turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean surround the magical island of Tahiti. As I have collaborated with past Tahiti Honeymoons and Tahiti Vacations as well as visiting Tahiti twice, this has made me become a very experienced Tahiti Travel Guide.

As Tahiti consists of five archipelagoes, covers an area of over 1.5 million square miles and has 118 islands that range from the main island of Tahiti or Moorea. Bora Bora is a true lagoon island or with an island and lagoon combination is Taha’a. There are also the gleaming turquoise atolls of The Tuamotus which consist of Tikehau, Rangiroa, and Fakarava. These atolls islands are over an hour’s flight from Tahiti, the capital is Papeete. I have seen these hotels, their locations, and the distinction between the different islands.

The weather is another factor, although the temperature does not fluctuate all that much. Tahiti does have its dry and rainy seasons. The dry season is about from mid May to late November, and the wet season is from about late December until late April. This does vary from year to year, and can only be used as a guideline. I have traveled to Tahiti in the rainy season, and found it to be good and both times had one day of rain and the rest was wonderful weather. Perhaps it was good luck, but with the weather you just never know.

As a Tahiti Travel Guide I can speak to you about Tahiti, its’ hotels, resorts, restaurants, touring options, spa locations, touring options, and the very distinctive various bungalows of Tahiti. They range from the garden bungalow, to the beach bungalows, to the much sort after over-water bungalows. The later is very well associated with Tahiti that has individual yearning.

Here at Albee Travel, I have a variety of Tahiti Honeymoon packages and Tahiti Vacation packages that can give you an idea of the Tahiti hotels, Tahiti resorts, and what each offers for accommodation. All packages are flexible; I can change or swap arrangements to suit your needs.  I have different options with a combination of islands from Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine, and Taha’a (my favorite island) as well as other distinctive islands.

I take great pride in being a Tahiti Travel Guide and I encourage you to contact me for a package or ideas for a more personalized, independent Tahiti vacation or honeymoon. Remember with travel your only limit is your individual imagination. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 888.500.2528 or email (click here)

Moorea Tahiti

Moorea, Tahiti is a triangular shape island that has two bays; Cooks Bay and Opunohu Bay. Moorea covers an area of 52 square miles and a circumference of 37 miles. A lazy drive time around Mooera Island would take you between 4-5 hours.

Moorea has a more mountainous topography and has 8 mountains on the island. Moorea offers four wheel driving tours, walking eco tours, horseback riding and sea bound paragliding. Moorea, Tahiti also has romantic excursions; you can discover the island by helicopter, take a helicopter transfer or tour to Bora Bora, Taha’a, Huahine, or Papeete, Tahiti. A sunset  yacht cruise around Moorea is offered from July to October when you can whale watch the humpback whales and you can swim with the dolphins at the Inter-Continental Resort and Spa.

Moorea can be reach by plane that takes about 10 minutes flight from Papeete, about 50 minutes flight to Bora Bora, and Taha’a; and 40 minutes to Huahine. A ferry between Moorea Island and Papeete, Tahiti, takes about 30-40 minutes, there are daily departures.

There are 3 spas in Moorea and they are located at the Pearl Beach Resort and Spa, Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort and Spa, and the Inter-Continental Beach Resort and Spa.

At the Manea Spa located at the Pearl Beach Resort and Spa emphasis is on the natural body spirit using local ingredients to help rejuvenate your body and for relaxation.
The Mandara Spa located at the Sheraton Lagoon Resort and Spa offers the best of the world’s spa treatments; from a variety of massages, to body scrubs with full massage, to Spa manicure. The Helene’ Spa located at the Inter-Continental Beach Resort and Spa has refreshing, relaxation treatments that include river jets massages, natural ingredients, and purification. (Please note the above is a brief description).

I was able to visit the hotels and resorts in Moorea and see what each very individual hotel had to offer. All are exquisitely beautiful and you feel like you are living in a postcard with all the surrounding natural beauty. As you can see my personal knowledge of Tahiti sets myself apart, so I encourage you to contact me direct at 888.500.2528 or email (click here) For my website about some Moorea and Tahiti Honeymoon and Vacations please (click here)

Tahiti Vacation Cruise & Cruise Honeymoon Package Tahiti

A Tahiti Vacation Cruise package is an ideal way to see this island nation that is spread over 1,544 square miles of the South Pacific Ocean. To see the islands of Tahiti, French Polynesia from a cruise and then explore them by yourselves or by an escorted tour gives you a wonderful opportunity to discover the very individual islands.

When I sailed with the Paul Gauguin it gave me an opportunity to discover not only the island but the hotels and resorts of Tahiti. It allowed me to see the high points of the resorts, give hints for travelers to Tahiti, and find the little things to know prior to travel that make the honeymooners and vacationers travel so much more relaxing. This is why I have this website, so I can help in making your travels so much richer. The Regent Seven Seas cruise on the Paul Gauguin took me from Papeete, Tahiti, to Raiatea, Bora Bora then onto Moorea to finish in Papeete. If you do have time to visit another island then Le Taha’a Private Island and Spa is an amazing resort that takes full advantage of its’ location and beauty for all visitors.

For a Tahiti Luxury Honeymoon Cruise, I cannot go past Nomade Yachting by Bora Bora Cruises. You can see this amazing customize designed for cruising the lagoons islands of Tahiti at www.albeeco.com/tahiti-cruise.htm. These two luxury cruise yachts have only 37 cabins, have a casual yet an ambience that you can expect on a smaller ship. For a luxury cruise vacation Tahiti is such a wondrous place for a honeymoon or a vacation. Tahiti offers a mood of relaxation, seductive romance, or a chance of activities such as diving, snorkeling, or 4 wheel driving.
